Why this site exists

Domperidone occupies an unusual place in online health information: it is approved and commonly prescribed in over a hundred countries, yet it remains unapproved in the United States, which creates a lot of understandable confusion. Much of what circulates online about it is either overly promotional or overly alarmist. Domperidone Motilium Guide was built to sit between those extremes — describing what domperidone is, how it works, what the safety data actually shows, and how its legal status varies, in plain language and without exaggeration.

What this site is not

This site is not a pharmacy, a telehealth clinic, or a manufacturer's marketing page. We do not sell, dispense, ship, or broker access to domperidone or any other medication, and we do not accept payment to feature or omit any product or provider. There are no purchase links, price comparisons, or coupons anywhere on this site, and there never will be.

Our editorial approach

Articles are written with reference to publicly available regulatory sources (such as FDA communications and other national regulators) and clinical literature, then reviewed by a licensed pharmacist for medical accuracy before publication. We aim to state safety warnings clearly rather than minimizing them, to avoid definitive claims where the evidence is mixed, and to be explicit about the difference between general information and personalized medical advice. You can read more about our review process on the Reviewers page.

How we handle uncertainty

Where clinical evidence is limited or mixed — as it is for some off-label uses of domperidone — we try to say so directly rather than presenting a confident answer that isn't supported by the underlying research. Where a question genuinely depends on an individual's health history (dosing, drug interactions, whether a particular use case applies to a specific person), we say that too, and point toward the kind of conversation worth having with a physician or pharmacist rather than offering a generic answer.
